Zed calls them context servers, but the protocol and the config shape are the same MCP. Zed only offers sign-in when no Authorization header is set.

Yes. Zed uses its own name for the feature but speaks standard MCP. The only practical difference is the config key: context_servers instead of mcpServers.

Because it will make the numbers up. Language models routinely invent search volumes, difficulty scores and competitor rankings that look plausible and are wrong. Every number our tools return comes from a live data provider or your own workspace.
